Abstract

The main trends in the development of lithology and sedimentology are discussed. The main results of lithological studies in Ukraine аre characterized. The prospects for the further development of lithological research in the Сonference Declarstion «Modern problems of lithology of sedimentary basins of Ukraine and adjacent territories» (2014) are defined.
